How To Start An Online Shop And Get Sales On Day 1

Add your content and products to the online store

In this section, I’ll show you how to upload content from your pages and blogs. At the end of it, you should be able to upload content and add SEO settings to posts and pages.

First, get your hosting and themes set up because you will need a place to upload your content. If you’re using WooCommerce, I’d recommend you also install Elementor before adding content. Go to plugins, add new ones and install Elementor Page Builder.

Uploading blog posts

Publishing blog posts is easy. In WooCommerce, click on posts and add posts to your dashboard. Upload your content and headlines. Do the same for SEO as I explained above. Check out these things too:

  • Title is optimized
  • The URL is edited to include the exact keywords.
  • Correct voice/tone is used
  • Paragraphs align well
  • Lists are well formatted
  • Headings (H1, H2, H3) are in their correct position.
  • There is continuity in the flow
  • No repetitive words or phrases are used.

Build an optimized shopping journey through e-commerce automation

Launching an online store is more than just basic store design.

It takes 6-7 interactions before people buy from a small business for the first time. They may have come across your ad and visited your website. They leave, come back later, see the product, see your email, etc., before they decide they want to go with you.

You need to automate your buyer’s journey to compel them to make a purchase. If you don’t and your competitors do, they will leave and go elsewhere.
