Setting up and configuring applications/extensions
You need applications/plugins/extensions – whatever you want to call them. You don’t need to get all the fancy applications. Stick to the basics so your site can function properly and you don’t have to deal with too many incompatible add-ons (if you use WooCommerce).

Use one that allows you to configure the settings for your sitemap – what should be there, and set different options if you want. Yoast or SEOPress will do the trick.
