Setting up and configuring applications/extensions
You need applications/plugins/extensions – whatever you want to call them. You don’t need to get all the fancy applications. Stick to the basics so your site can function properly and you don’t have to deal with too many incompatible add-ons (if you use WooCommerce).

SEO plugins
For starters, SEO plugins are important. You need to configure your metadata, canonicals, formatting, check Google Search Console, etc. If you use WooCommerce, there are a large number of them. Use one that allows you to configure the settings for your sitemap – what should be there, and set different options if you want. Yoast or SEOPress will do the trick.
Google Analytics
To keep track of things, you should connect your e-commerce site to Google Analytics. Turn on your e-commerce settings.
Shipping
Set up your delivery areas and use the plugin for real-time shipment pricing, tracking, and contacting your delivery provider – Amazon or others. BigCommerce and Shopify have these better setups. In WooCommerce, it is possible to get a plugin/extension for this functionality.
